Linux builds / glibc version

We’ve had reports of issues with Tropy Beta builds on Linux. Please rest assured that Tropy will work on Linux (in fact, it is mostly developed on Linux) and we’re working to set up an environment to make more reliable builds across different Linux distros.

If you’re interested in using Tropy on Linux (and especially if you were unable to launch the Beta), it would be helpful if you could post the version of your distribution and the version of glibc used on your system. You can get the glibc version by running one of ldd --version, sudo apt-cache show libc6, pacman -Qi glibc, or rpm -q glibc, for example. Thanks!

I get a “there was an error launching application” error on Fedora 26.

ldd --version
ldd (GNU libc) 2.25
