"Skipping" a line with line numbers in a note

I love that you can insert line numbers in a note. However, I was wondering if it would be possible to “skip” a line while using the line numbers. For example, if there is a space between paragraphs in the original document, I want to indicate that in my transcription without having the space count as its own numbered line. So if paragraph 1 ends on line 10, I want to be able to leave a space between paragraphs 1 and 2, and begin paragraph 2 with line 11, not line 12.
Thanks!

Unfortunately I can’t think of a way to do this, sorry.

We have figured out a solution, in the next Tropy release there will be a way to skip line numbering:

Simply create a horizontal line by typing three dashes (---), Tropy automatically converts the dashes into a horizontal rule which will be excluded from line numbering.

If you prefer spaces over lines please head over to the ‘Customizing Tropy’s UI Styles’ post and have a look at how to hide lines: Customizing Tropy's UI Styles
