Absolute Beginner

Hi there,

I am an absolute beginner in data management and databases but I have over 1500 images I’m looking to collate and tag. Tropy seems to be the ideal method of doing this but I’m unclear how I can access the results. What uses JSON-LD? Linked Data format? It is easy for humans to read and write - on what? Apologies for the newbie type questions but my usual database is Excel.

What is your goal once you’ve collated and tagged your photos? (There are a couple of options for export, but I want to make sure I’m pointing you toward the most useful thing.) Are you doing data analysis on your sources, or are you just trying to be able to find them again for consultation?
