Export a TPY file or save a copy of a file in an unknown location

Hi there,

My professor’s project is saved on Dropbox, and for whatever reason her Tropy is no longer accessing the shared file, but instead has a local file somewhere hidden on her computer. We can’t figure out where this file is located, or how to save a duplicate to somewhere accessible so that I can then merge her changes to the shared Tropy file on Dropbox. Is there anyway to export the project in a TPY file and not a JSON file, or to save a copy?
If not, is there any way to have Tropy tell you where it is accessing this saved file from? We’ve searched for the file in her computer and it doesn’t show up, the only place we can seem to see it is in her “Recent Projects” in Tropy.

Thank-you for any help you can provide!

Hi, if Tropy opens the file at start-up (or if you can open it via recent projects) it’s easy to find the file. Just open the project in Tropy and right-click on the project name (or anywhere in the sidebar):

The ‘Show Project File…’ command should open the file in your file manager.

Fantastic, thank-you! That let us access the file and resolve our issues. Thank you so much for your help, we really appreciate it!
