Exporting tags with Tropiiify

I have a question for anyone using the Tropiiify plugin for Tropy to export IIIF collections and manifests (GitHub - arkalab/tropiiify: Export IIIF collections from Tropy).

I am using a custom export scheme. I would also like to export Tropy tags as metadata. Is this possible? For example, I have an item that is a photo of an archival document, and the “tags” panel includes a list of terms related to that document. I would like Tropiiify to export those tags as metadata in the IIIF manifest. So far it appears Tropiiify will only export Tropy metadata.

If anyone else has wondered about this please let me know.

Best to open an issue in the GitHub repository to ask the authors directly. Tags are exposed to the plugin, so it’s definitely possible to include tags as metadata – typically, the difficulty there is to do this in a way that’s also easy to configure, but it might be easy to do by modifying the plugin for your specific needs.
