When I open my Tropy database, a large number of the photos are marked as ‘to be grouped’…
When I try to do this, an error message appears (see screenshot).
What should I do?

Can you share the full log file after this happens?
It looks like a Windows Virus Scanner or similar tool has blocked loading the native image library. If you share the full log we may be able to say more about it.
