So recently I have been having trouble with importing a new set of photos into my Tropy project. Originally it was a set of about 280 photos in an import of about 2000 that couldn’t be found. I tried consolidating them but to no avail.
I then deleted the photos from Tropy and re-imported them but the same issue happens.
Would you be able to give me hand?

Sure! Can you tell me what happens if you import just any single photo out of those that failed? Does the import fail or is the item created in Tropy but you can’t view the image?
When I try to import even just one of the mentioned files, it gets imported
into Tropy but I can’t view the image
Can you open the file in Windows Explorer using the file URL used by Tropy. For example:
file:///C:/Users/t-str/Documents/School/Doctural/Thesis/Thesis%20Archival%20Research/Crossing%20the%20Andes%20-%20Dissertation%20Project.tropy/assets/68797370962a462d41e8bcf8f78dc495.jpg
Is you Documents folder a regular folder on your disk or is it a network share?
Yes I can open them in windows explorer and its a regular folder on my
disk!
What happens if you select the photo in Tropy, then select ‘Open in External Viewer’ from the context menu: does that display the image?
