Good afternoon,
I am a beginner with Tropy, and I need to save a backup copy of the archive on a CSV file.
After correctly installing and enabling the plug-in, I click on File → Export → CSV but nothing happens at all.
Is there some kind of other extension I need to export the file in CSV?
Thank you in advance,
Beatrice
What is your plugin configuration? It’s possible that you’ve configured to export to the clipboard, in this case nothing happens visually when you export items. Similarly, if you’ve configured a default output file, the export will be saved to that file with no visible feedback.

Hello, I managed to de-install and re-install the program and the plug-in. I noticed that, in effect, by configuring a specific output file the document is saved with no visible feedback, but it works. Nonetheless, it works only with Dublin Core template.
As soon as I create a custom template, even with only one Dublin Core property in it, the system crashes.
And if I reopen the program and export the csv file, the only metadata that appears in excel is the title. All other metadata in the template (with specific values for each item) are not present.
Thank you in advance for your kind help in managing this issue.
Beatrice
If you’d like us to help you, you need to be more specific. What ends up in the exported CSV file depends on the configuration, the templates and the data of the items and photos being exported. Your template determines which fields are going to get exported: if you define only one field in your template, only those values will be exported.
If in doubt, you can post your template and configuration here as well as a sample item (for example, just copy and paste the item here) and explain what CSV result you’re expecting.
