Dear Tropy Development Team,
I would like to express my interest in using Tropy for my research, particularly for taking notes in Japanese. However, I am encountering difficulties when searching my notes. For example, if I note “私はTropyを愛しています,” searching for “Tropy” does not yield any results. This means I have to input it as “私 は Tropy を 愛しています,” which is quite cumbersome.
Could you consider changing the search algorithm for notes in Japanese (and Chinese)? For these languages, it is necessary to perform morphological analysis to determine where words break in a sentence. There is a program called “MeCab” for Japanese morphological analysis, but I believe reimagining the search algorithm would provide a simpler solution.
Thank you for your consideration.
