Photographs geolocalisation

Hello everyone,

I am working with lots of photographs that I would like to display on a map according to where they were taken.
Unfortunately, my photographs are not geo referenced.

  • Do you have any tips on how to manually geo reference big quantities of photographs? For the moment I created a ’ Coordinates’ metadata field in tropy.
  • Does tropy allow to associate photographs with their locations and display them with mapping tools (such as QGIS)?

Sadly there is currently no support for this in Tropy. You can add the coordinates as metadata (I’d suggest using the exif:gpsLatitude and exif:gpsLongitude properties) but there’s no map widget to aide the input or to display the current locations. We’d like to add proper support for maps at some point.
