In the course of my dissertation research, I’ve gone through a fair amount of Colonial Office files at the UK National Archives pertaining to race and migration in Canada and Australia from the late Victorian period down to the end of the Great War—especially CO 42, CO 234, CO 323, and CO 418. I’ve also got a bunch of documents imaged from the Queensland State Archives and the British Columbia Archives, mostly pertaining to issues of race and space (who “belongs” there). If anybody is working on related topics and not able to get to these archives because of the epidemic, let me know and if I’ve got documents you need I’m happy to share.
