We are trying to share a collaborative project, but while the project’s metadata is there, the photos are not. I am taking over the project from the previous person who is leaving the team. The project will eventually be passed on to a more senior academic for reference.
It is an advanced project with photos linked to the project file in the settings, and there are too many photos in the folder to tell which is which. The project is being shared on OneDrive, and I believe we are both Mac users.
If I get them to convert it to a standard project, will this fix it?

So both the project file and the photos are in OneDrive, right? Please confirm that on the original device the photos all show up: if that’s the case then change the project settings to link photos relative to the project file, if that’s not already the case (it’s crucial that you only change the setting if the photo links actually work – otherwise it’s possible that the links end up in a worse state). If the photos are linked relative to the project file, then download both project file and photos on the second device (you need to make sure the files are really downloaded, not just set to ‘fetch on demand’ in OneDrive). Once that’s done, the photos should show up just fine. If they still don’t show on macOS it’s likely a permissions issue – just try to look at any of the photos and then check the tropy.log file. To fix the permissions issue you can either remove the quarantine flag on the downloaded files or give Tropy file access to the folder (we can walk you through this if it is indeed about file permissions).
Thanks for the support. Yes, the photos show up correctly on the original device, and the photos related to the project file are already selected. All the files have been downloaded, but they still aren’t showing up. Also, the sharing permission on OneDrive is set to view only, so I am waiting for them to change that setting on their end.
