Too many files?

I have one project with about 5000 or more items, and the software works extremely slow, often shows “Tropy is not responding”, and is practically not really useable.

Will this be different in the 1.0 version or is it recommendable to work with different small projects (instead of lists in one project)? In this case, can lists of items be easily exported from one project to another?

I join the file of the project in question as well.

Yes, the current beta release will slow down as you add more items, but this will be addressed for the 1.0 release – Tropy will definitely be able to cope with larger projects.

We’ll also start to roll-out export/import functionality soon to allow you to copy items between projects.
