Photos seem to have gone missing

Currently, the easiest way to move your photos (provided you want to move them all together and not to different locations) is to turn your project into a portable project like this:

  1. Close Tropy
  2. Move your project file to the root folder of your photos (the folder you want to move to a new location)
  3. Start Tropy and open your project file (since you moved it, Tropy will not be able to open it automatically)
  4. Make your project portable via the Developer menu
  5. Close Tropy
  6. Move the folder containing your project file and the photos to their new home
  7. Start Tropy and open your project file (again, since you moved it, you’ll have to tell Tropy where to find it).
  8. At this point, you can keep the project portable or, if you’d like to be able to move the file again, independently of your photos, you can rebase the project again to turn it back into a default project.

You can also open your project file with SQLite and change photo paths in bulk as described here and above in this thread.
